When someone clicks a swooshed link while the already installed RS client is stopped, the user is prompted for installing the RS Client again. The process proceeds to a complete re-installation. Is it not technically possible to check the existance of an RS client installation and just start it if it is down?
Yes, it's possible and something we intend to do, but haven't gotten to yet. As it stands, however, it actually only does a "partial" reinstallation -- enough to restart the old client, but without blowing away the old settings. Regardless, this is an area in which we can and hope to improve.
